The draw
The draw was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday, 30 August 2024.
The teams were drawn into eight groups of four. The first-placed team in each group will progress to the round of 16.

Analysis
The draw has thrown up some interesting groups. Group C is particularly strong, with Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund all in contention for a place in the knockout stages.
Group H is also interesting, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Benfica, Ajax and Chelsea all capable of making a run in the competition.
The final will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on Saturday, 30 May 2025.
